Last Saturday, things had dried out and Thomson was able to host Grovetown, but the Diamond Dogs lost 7-3. Thomson’s record was 1-5 heading into this week.

The Bucs led the Gatewood Gators for much of Monday afternoon’s baseball game, but came up short 4-3 in the end.

Last Wednesday, Feb. 5, Thomson High School offensive lineman Donald Casey Jr. signed a full-ride athletic scholarship to play football next year at Georgia Military College in Milledgeville.

Briarwood Academy’s Lady Bucs will hit the court this Thursday at 7 p.m. in the GISA Region 4AA tournament, which is being hosted at Briarwood.

Last Friday, the Briarwood Academy Lady Bucs ventured into what many teams would see as hostile territory - the gym at Gatewood School, in Eatonton. However, the Lady Bucs left with a 43-41 overtime win over the Lady Gators.
