Ty Braswell goes up for a shot in his 21-point night against Hancock Central.

Last Saturday, the Thomson High School Bulldogs hosted the Hancock Central Bulldogs and lost 68-59.

Thomson stayed within a point of Hancock Cental at the end of the first quarter. Then,  the THS Dogs outscored Hancock Central 20-18 in the second quarter to carry a 30-29 lead into halftime.

But, the third quarter won the game for Hancock Central as they outscored Thomson 23-16.

THS Head Coach Michael Thomas said he and the Thomson coaches decided to stop trapping the other team and that allowed them to get the advantage.

Ty Braswell led the Dogs in scoring with 21 points. Ladarius Jackson was behind Braswell with 9 points and Ty Wilson contributed 8 to round out the top scorers.

Thomson’s next scheduled game will be Saturday, Jan. 4, at Baldwin High School in Milledgeville.
