Buford, GA (HOLLIS)- Anna Charles Hollis, 6, of Buford, GA died September 16, 2018. A memorial service was held Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at Gwinnett Church, 300 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., Sugar Hill, GA 30518 with the Rev. Jeff Henderson officiating. Anna Charles, was a member of Gwinnett Church, was a first grader at Buford Elementary School, played tennis, was active in gymnastics, and loved to dance and sing. Preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Larry Hollis and uncle, Michael Scott McQuaig, Jr, she is survived by her parents, Benji and Lee Anna Hollis; sister, Everlee Scott Hollis all of Buford, GA; maternal grandparents, Dr. Michael and Ann L. Thomson, GA – (Native) - Tron Demetrius Lampkin departed this earthly life and went to be with the Lord on September 11, 2018.
Tron graduated with the Thomson High School Class of 2012.

Jimmy Lee Steptoe
Thomson, GA –(Native) - Jimmy Lee Steptoe, 83, entered into rest September 12, 2018.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was a retired District Supervisor and Captain with the State of Georgia Department of Natural Resources. After retirement, Mr. Steptoe worked with the McDuffie County Health Department, was a McDuffie County Deputy Coroner, and volunteered with Disaster Relief
Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Yvonne Steptoe; son, James Patrick Steptoe (Minda) of Grovetown; daughter, Jill Morris (Joel) of Graham, NC; brothers, Bobby Steptoe of Statesboro, GA and Billy Steptoe of Savannah, GA; sister, Ruby Lee Hutchison of Statesboro, GA; 4 grandchildren, Jade Kelly, Hattie Marandici, Malone Morris, and Stephanie Lynn; and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held September 15, 2018 in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Malone Morris officiating. A graveside service was held September 17, 2018 at Eastside Cemetery, Statesboro, GA.

Harold Whitney (Chip) Wallace (III)
Thomson, GA -Harold Whitney Wallace III (Chip,) 68, entered into rest September 13, 2018.
Through his years as an attorney he worked as a district attorney, spent many years in private practice, and finished his career as the Circuit Public Defender for the Toombs Judicial Circuit.
He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Nancy of Thomson, Georgia. He is also survived by his son Whitney (Lindsey,) daughters Kimberly (Marc), and Courtney (Matt) and his five grandchildren, Matthew, Wallace, Lila James, Ellie, and Quentin. He is also survived by his brother Richard (Rebecca). He is also survived by his beloved dog, Jinx.

David Harold Welch
Thomson, GA -David Harold Welch, 69, was born July 16, 1949 in Augusta, GA to the late Johnny R. Welch and Margaret Rabun Welch. He died Sunday, September 16, 2018, in Thomson, Georgia.
Mr. Welch had lived most of his life in Thomson. He was retired from Tracy Lucky Pecan Company and was a member of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers. Larry Welch, Claude Welch, Jimmy Welch and Terry Welch and one sister, Peggy Welch Hillman.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ruth Meadows Welch of Thomson, Georgia. He is also survived by his sons, David “Snowball” Welch (Candy) and Felton Welch (Jennifer) and his daughter, Cheryl Welch Neal (Bryant) all of Thomson, Georgia, five grandchildren, Colby Welch, Daniel Welch, Noah Welch, Matthew Welch and Kaylee Welch, two sisters-in-law, Rita Welch and Sandra Price as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
There will be a funeral service held in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel in Thomson, Georgia on Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Bryant Neal and Rev. Don Widener officiating. Interment will follow in the Walker Cemetery in Dearing, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
