Otis Beard

Lincolnton, GA - Mr. Otis Clark “Charlie” Beard, 71 of Hwy 220W, Lincolnton, Ga. passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at his residence.

A viewing and time of remembrance with military honors was held on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 3 pm at Beggs Funeral Home, Lincolnton.

Mr. Charlie, son of the late Lonnie E. and Maggie Clark Beard, was born on March 2, 1948 in Aiken, SC and served two tours with the US Marines in Vietnam. In the past, he had operated an auto paint and body repair business and more recently retired from Shaw Industries, Thomson after 28 years of service. His interests included traveling and he enjoyed his property in Lincoln County where he had resided for the past 34 years. Most of all, he loved his wife, children, and grandchildren. He had been a member of American Legion #194 and had attended Raysville Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy D. Beard; children, Diana Nadel of Boiling Springs, SC, Michelle Adams of Lincolnton, Brian Boucher of Greenville, SC, Chad Beard of Odessa, Fl., and Kevin Beard of Okeechobee, Fl; sisters, Mary Seale of Birmingham, Al., Thelma Watson of Ozark, Al., Sarah Baldwin of Ocala, Fl., Carol Blay of Cotopaxi, CO; 9 grandchildren, 1 great- grandchild; his loving dogs Ellie and Reggie; and soon to be born, grandchild, “Baby Charlie.”

Betty Sue English

Warrenton, GA - Mrs. Betty Sue Hammett English age 86, entered into rest  October 24, 2019.

Funeral services were held October 27, 2019 at Norwood United Methodist Church with the Revs. Jim King and Jessica Blackwood officiating.

Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Mickey and Melissa English of Warrenton, 8 grandchildren, Brad, Brent, Erin, Victoria, Macaela, Bailey, Jessie, Jillian, and 7 great grandchildren.

Lowe Funeral Home, Warrenton, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.

Ezella Jones "AB" Norman

Thomson, GA -Ms. Ezella Jones Norman made her peaceful transition from labor to reward on October 22, 2019.

Those left to mourn her passing and cherish a lifetime of beautiful memories: two daughters, Annie (Wilbur) Hampton and Gladys (Willie) Moss, all of Thomson, GA; nine grandchildren; a great-grandson whom she raised, Roykin Jones of Thomson, GA; several additional great-grandchildren; many great-great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Tucks of Norwood, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Services were held October 26, 2019 at Westview Cemetery, Thomson, GA with Rev. L.R. Rogers, Jr.

John Thomas Rabun

Thomson, GA – Mr. John Thomas Rabun, 75, entered into rest October 28, 2019.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Laura Price Rabun; daughter, Tara Ann Rabun; step-son, James Jones; step-daughter, Leslie Scott Morris (Adam); brothers, Ronnie Rabun, Timmy Rabun (Wanda), and Jimmy Rabun (Judy); sisters, Frankie Kitchens and Martha Ann Rivers (Jimmy); and grandchildren, Bailey Pope, Chloe Brown, and Cole Brown.

Funeral services were held October 30, 2019 at Little Brier Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Dunaway and the Rev. Faye Burgamy officiating.

Lenna Renee’ Sellers

Thomson, GA – Mrs. Lenna Renee’ Sellers, 44, entered into rest October 24, 2019.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 20 years, Ron Sellers; daughter, Sydney “Juno” Sellers; mother, Josette Taylor; brother, Thomas Taylor of Florida; and sister, Lynn McKinney of Augusta, GA.

Funeral services were held October 26, 2019 at Little Brier Creek Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Dunaway officiating.
