Derwin Ware Adkins

Warrenton, GA - Derwin Ware Adkins, 84, entered into rest November 07, 2020.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Joyce Smith Adkins; three daughters, Joan Wood(John), Robin Wiggins(David) and Diane Adkins; five grandchildren, five great grandchildren and a sister Varnelle Marsh.

A graveside service was held November 10, 2020 at the Jewell Baptist Church Cemetery, with Reverend Ralph Story officiating.

Chad Hadden

Gibson, GA - Thomas Chad Hadden, 46, of Hobbs Rd.,  entered into rest November 7, 2020.

Chad was a lifelong resident of Glascock County, Georgia and a 1992 graduate of Glascock County High School. He received an Associate’s Degree from Abraham Baldwin College in Animal Science. Chad owned and operated CSRA Land and Real Estate where he spent many years developing real estate and housing. He was also co-owner and operator of Anthony Auto Sales in Thomson. Chad loved the outdoors, hunting, and cattle farming. He was a member of Magnolia Baptist Church. Chad was predeceased by his grandparents, Ralph and Blenda Hadden, Thomas Silas, Winona and O. W. Hodge.

Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Hadden; sons, Grant Hadden, Garrett Hadden; daughter, Macy Hadden; father, Ralph Hadden(Dianne): mother, Barbara Silas Hadden; brother, Doug Hadden(Kelly); niece, Halle Hadden, nephew, Huston Hadden; step brother, Chip Clark and step sister, Jennifer May.

A Celebration of Chad’s Life was held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, November 10th with Rev. Gary Hadden officiating. The service was held in the pasture adjacent to the residence of Chad and Stephanie Hadden, 6799 Hobbs Rd., Gibson, Georgia.

Albert Wilbur Hollimon Jr.

Dearing, GA - Albert Wilbur Hollimon, Jr., 85, went home to be with the Lord on November 6, 2020.

Graveside services were held November 9, 2020, in the Adams Chapel Cemetery, Dearing, Ga. with the Reverend Bobby W. Renew officiating.

Left to cherish his memory are, his wife, Henrietta Hollimon; three sons, Albert Wilbur Hollimon, III (Cindy), Terrell Hollimon (Amanda) and Matthew Hollimon; one daughter, Cathy Coleman (Edward); two brothers, Larry Hollimon (Maggie) and George Hollimon (Darlene); three sisters, Juanita Johnson, Clara McNair, and Ann Bloodworth; thirteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gibson, GA - Mrs. Debra L. Johns, age 68, died November 6, 2020.

Private services will be held for the family.

She is survived by, daughter Sherry Wade of Gibson, son John William Wills III, of Seneca, SC, sister Barbara Bonner, brother, Clarence Marvin Moon IV, 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews.

Gibson, GA  –  Kathryn Lampp Coxville Marsh, 80, entered into her eternal rest November 7, 2020.

Graveside services were held November 10, 2020 in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Gibson with Rev. Stacy Williford officiating.  

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Glenda Faye Post (Kelly), Scotty Coxville (Julie), Ann Marsh Cantrell (Danny) and Nancy Marsh Hardin (Stephen); two siblings, Ray Lampp (Faye) and James May (Patricia); fourteen grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, church family and friends.

Wanda Pitts

Thomson, GA – Mrs. Wanda Pitts, 97, entered into rest November 06, 2020.

Left behind to cherish Wanda’s memory are two daughters, Jeannie Huff and Mary Mihm (Frank); step-daughters, Denise Childress and Carol Lee; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.  No visitation is planned at this time.
