Anthony Joseph Cascino

Dearing, Ga. –Mr.  Anthony Joseph “Tony” Cascino, 40, entered into rest on June 11, 2019.

He is survived by his daughter, Brianna Pauline Cascino; one sister, Adrianne Duckworth (Anthony); two brothers, Joseph Cascino (Joey Ann) and Curtis R. Blitch (Lindsey); his mother, Sharon Ann Blitch and step-father, Curtis L. Blitch; and several nieces and nephews.

Marsha Lynn Stewart

Dearing, GA- Mrs. Marsha Lynn Stewart, 63, entered into rest Thursday, June 13, 2019, at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Ralph Hinton and Shirley Ann Welch.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 22, 2019, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Danny McClure officiating.

Mrs. Stewart was born a lifelong resident of McDuffie County.  She worked at Thomson Company prior to becoming a homemaker.  She was a loving companion, mother, and grandmother.    

Mrs. Stewart leaves behind to cherish her memory a loving companion, Dwayne Robert Foor, Dearing; son, William Ralph Stewart (Melissa), Cedartown, Georgia; daughter, Tonya Lynn Bates, Baxley, Georgia; five grandchildren, Rachel Ann Bates, Krikett Leigh Stewart, Casey Bagwell, Hunter Wenger, and Nakiyah Jones; sister, Patricia Hair; three brothers, Eugene Hinton, Russell Hinton, and Andy Hinton.

Friends may call at the funeral home.  The family will receive friends after the service.

William Junior Usry

Thomson, GA - Mr. William Junior Usry, 75, entered into rest Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Thomson Health and Rehabilitation.  

Funeral services were held June 15, 2019 in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bobby Farmer and Rev. Jerry Rockefeller officiating.  Burial followed in Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church Cemetery Mitchell, Georgia.

Mr. Usry was a native of Wilkes County, but had lived in Thomson for many years.  He was a Line Foreman and a member of Mt. Zion Congregational Methodist Church.

Mr. Usry was preceded in death by his parents and several siblings.  Survivors include his sister, Gladys Land (Bobby), Thomson; son, Wesley Usry (Julie); daughter, Lisa Usry; several nieces and nephews.  

Pallbearers were Wayne Warren, Rick Warren, Ronnie Brooks, George Perryman, Garrett Warren and Billy Kitchens.
