James Delano Clark

James Delano Clark, 79, Norwood, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on January 6, 2022. James was born in Augusta, Georgia on November 18, 1942, to James Robert Clark and Inez Bryant Clark. He was a devoted Christian and spent his life making sure that family and friends knew “his Lord and Savior”. He was an active member for many years of Victory Baptist Church in North Augusta. After retirement, he and Gloria moved to Thomson and joined First Baptist Church there. When they moved to the country to the Mayo Farmhouse in 2019, they joined New Providence Baptist Church near Norwood. James was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was very proud of his service to his country. Other than his parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, Coley, Gary, and Spencer Clark; sister, Marian Schiller; son-in-law, Ken Kitchens and granddaughter, Hannah Marie Taylor. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Gloria Mayo Clark; daughters, Suzy Ivey (Billy), Augusta; Tracy Drawdy (Richard), Augusta; Angela Johnson (Bryan), Gibson; and Alice Gary (Russell), Thomson; brothers, Mark Clark and Bruce Clark (Linda), Martinez; sisters Deborah McNeal (Ted), Augusta; and Virginia Hamm, El Paso, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and the entire Mayo Family. Visitation was held on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Beggs Funeral Home with the funeral service following at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia and was officiated by Dr. David Lambert and Rev. James Norman

James Herman Norman, 48, Harlem, Georgia, entered into eternal rest on January 10, 2022. James was born in Augusta, Georgia on July 26, 1973, grew up in Thomson, Georgia, and graduated from Thomson High School. He was Christian by faith and an active member of Trinity Baptist Church, Grovetown, Georgia. James loved Georgia Bulldog Football and would have loved the Championship Ballgame. He loved being outdoors, grilling and golfing. James especially loved spending time with his son, Colbey, his wife, family and friends. James was preceded in death by his father, James Lee Norman and his father-in-law, James Neal Foster. His survivors include his wife, April Foster Norman; his son, Colbey James Norman; his mother Janice Moon Harrison (James); his brother, Jay Harrison (Audrey); his sister, Becky Cowart (Robbie); his mother-in-law, Priscilla Foster; his sister-in-law, Kim Foster; and his nieces and nephews, Tucker Foster, Rylee Foster, Harrison Cowart (Riley Penn), Addison Cowart and Hayden Cowart. A memorial service, being officiated by Bro. Seth Straughn, will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia. John-Paul West, 45, passed unexpectedly on January 3, 2022, at Rome Health Hospital. He was born on October 11, 1976, in Augusta, GA. The son of John A. West (preceded in death) and Kathy Harris West Snyder and stepfather, Duke Snyder. Growing up in a military family, he moved throughout the United States. When he came of age, he decided to make roots in Augusta, GA, with the guidance of his Aunt and Uncle, Carolyn Lord and C.A. Lord. That same year, 1994, he earned his GED at Augusta Technical College. Two years later, he went on to completing HVAC classes. In 2010, he earned his EPA certification and his 410a certification. In 2015, while working at Fort Gordon as the Supervisor of Maintenance and Repair AGS, he achieved his lifelong dream of owning and operating his own company, West Property Maintenance, Inc. He is survived by his wife, Katelyn Rae Reeves West, of Gibson, GA; mother, Kathy Harris West Snyder, of North Augusta, SC; son, Jesse Green (Christina), of Japan; son, Jacob Vann, of Holly Hill, SC; daughter, Julianna West (Brody), of Thomson, GA; sister, Justina West, of Afton, NY; brother, Joseph-Daniel West, of North Augusta, SC; sister, Jinnie-Marie Benedict (Kevin), of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Nelson John Abreu (Mackenzie), of Omaha, NE; 3 grandchildren; several nieces and nephew. Pallbearers will be Jacob Vann, Joseph-Daniel West, Kevin Benedict, Don Forsmark, James Weir and Mike Armstrong.  Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, at Beggs Funeral Home and his funeral service was in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia and was officiated by Rev.
