Ronnie David Smith

Thomson, GA - Mr. Ronnie David Smith, 55, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at his residence in Thomson, GA.

Mr. Smith was born in Elbert County on January 10, 1964, son of the late Albert Walter Smith and Julia Olive Scoggins Smith. He was an Administrator of Environmental Services for several years and then transitioned to Management of Holiday Retirement for independent senior living. He was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness and his ministry was his First Love!

Survivors include his wife, Jackie; children: Chelsea and Cody; siblings: Sue Scarborough, Lynn Raybon, and Timothy Smith; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings: Jimmy Smith, Elbert Smith, and Sandra Cheryl Smith.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, February 24, 2019, at 2 o’clock at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1162 Harrison Road SE, Thomson, GA 30824.

Thomson, GA- Mr. Steve Ferguson, 67, of Whiteoak Campground Rd. entered into rest February 18, 2019 at University Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, February 22, 2019 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Farmer officiating. Interment will follow in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.

Dearing, GA- Mrs. Martha Lanier Gunn, 63, entered into rest February 15, 2019.

Survivors include her beloved husband of 45 years, Edwin Gunn; sons, James Lewis “Jamie” Gunn (Kristin) of Harlem, Jason Robert Gunn (Elizabeth) of Dearing; daughter, Jessica Marie Lee (Trey) of Grovetown; brother, Monte Hires Lanier (Jane) of Colorado; and grandchildren, Kaitlynn Gunn, Jackson Gunn, and Maddie Gunn.

Thomson, GA - Mr. Tommy Eugene Kitchens, 64, died February 16, 2019.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019, at 12 noon, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Burial will be in Westview cemetery.

Survivors include his sister, Mrs. Cindy Simons, Warrenton; and his three brothers, Billy Kitchens, Walter Kitchens, and Ricky Kitchens, all of Thomson.

Harlem, GA- Robert Bruce Moore, 51, entered into rest February 16, 2019, at his residence.

He is survived by his two daughters, Savannah Diane Moore and Destiny Rose Moore; his father, William Frank Moore; and his brother, Scott Moore.

Thomson, GA – Mrs. Connie Giddens Rabun, 63, entered into rest February 17, 2019.

Mrs. Rabun taught in both the McDuffie and Warren County school systems and retired as a Media Specialist.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Rusty Rabun; daughter, Jenie Reese Christopher (Marc) of Kennesaw, GA; step-son, Shane Rabun (Michelle) of Avera, GA; step-daughter, Kathy Hoover (Jason) of Thomson, GA; brother, John Giddens (Jolene) of Cochran, GA; sisters, Marsha Lynn Mullis (Neil) of Chapel Hill, NC and Mary Beth Grenade (Cecil) of Lakeland, FL; 2 grandchildren, Reese Thomas Christopher and Kylie Jane Christopher; and 7 step-grandchildren, Makay Hoover, Micah Hoover, Matthew Hoover, Hunter Rabun, Fisher Rabun, Ryder Rabun and Mirabelle Rabun; niece, Rachel Darran and her daughter, Charlotte; and nephew, Andy Grenade and daughter, Olivia.

Funeral services will be held February 21, 2019 at Macedonia United Methodist Church with Rev. Mickey Moss officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
