Thomson, GA - Viola Story Avera departed this February 6, 2019.

Those left to cherish a lifetime of beautiful memories: five daughters, Evelyn D. Hatcher, ChiEngle (Willie) Pinkston, Deborah Lipscomb, all of Thomson, GA, Abby Avera of Grovetown, GA and Brenda Frails of Augusta, GA;  three sons, Jimmy D. Avera, Perry B. Avera, both of Thomson and Kenneth K. Avera of Germany; nine granddaughters, DaKeisha “Keyda” Hatcher, raised as her own daughter, Jazlyn Avera, Sherkineta Lipscomb, all of Thomson, GA, Quanise (Tremayne) Story of Grovetown, GA, Monica (Dale) Grogan of Jacksonville, FL, Omeeka (Eric) Loggins of Augusta, GA, Shannah Pinkston of Atlanta, GA, Jacqueline D. Avera of Germany and Kiffany Avera of Evans, GA; six grandsons, Petrell Avera, Marquez Avera, Daquan Wright, all of Thomson, GA, Terrance Bennett of Augusta, GA, Kenneth Avera and Stephen Avera, both of Germany; twenty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Charles Wilcher of Waynesboro, GA; and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services were held February 10, 2019 at Harts Grove Baptist Church, Stapleton, GA with Rev. Willie F. Hampton, Pastor, Eulogist Rev. Leroy Jordan, Jr. Presider.

Thomson Funeral System, Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.

Willie Henry Hobbs

Dearing, GA - Mr. Willie Henry Hobbs, 82, entered into rest February 09, 2019.

Survivors include three nieces, Ruth Smith, Linda Anne Wilson, and Karen Hobbs; three nephews, Perry Hobbs, Tommy Hobbs, and Alan Hobbs.

There will be no service or visitation.

David Holley

Harlem, GA - Graveside Services for Mr. David G Holley, 88, who entered into rest February 11, 2019, will be conducted Thursday morning, February 14, 2019, at 11 o'clock in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery with the Reverend Mike Sutphin officiating and Military Honors accorded.

He is survived by three sons, Terry Holley, Darryl (Leona) Holley, Tim (Penny) Holley; 8 grand-children and 8 great grand-children; three brothers Lamar (Bonnie) Holley, Robert (Ruby) Holley, and Tony (Gail) Holley; three sisters, Annie Anderson, Gloria Jones, and Shirley (Temus) Reese.

Jacob “Jake” William Quarles

Dearing, GA. – Jacob “Jake” William Quarles, age 10, passed away February 3, 2019.

Jake was a 4th grade student at Dearing Elementary School.

Survivors include his mother, Courtney Clark (Cliff Bowick) of Dearing, GA; father,  Jason Quarles; brothers, Jeramy Quarles and Clayton Bowick; grandparents, Charlotte Curcio (Bert) of Lincolnton, GA, Jerry Quarles, Donna Rogers, Claudia and Donald Bowick; great grandparents, Wayne and Vanessa McCorkle.

A memorial service was held February 9, 2019, in the Beggs Funeral Home Chapel.
