Mary Lois Ivery-Angona, 67, entered into rest April 15, 2021. She was the wife of the late Jim Angona. Mary was born November 10, 1953 in Thomson, Georgia to the late Soloman Hampton and Eloise Johnson, she was a homemaker and a member of Jones Chapel. Survivors include her son, Harold Johnson (Melanie), daughter, Pamela Parks, brothers, Willie, Jay and Darrell Taylor, sisters, Shirley Hunter, Brenda Neil and seventeen grandchildren. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at South Harlem Memorial Gardens with Reverend John Smalley officiating. Flower Girls will be her nieces and Pallbearers will be her nephews. Freddy L Overstreet
Camak, GA – Freddy Lamar Overstreet , 79 went to be with the Lord on April 15, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Overstreet, mother, Kate Goodman Roberson and step-father, J.M. Roberson; his son, Shane Overstreet; a sister, Suzanne Roberson Albritton and a brother, Dewight Overstreet. He was a 1960 graduate of Dexter High School in Dexter, GA where he was a prominent member of the Hornets basketball team. He served in the National Guard and as a civilian taught electronics to the military. Later he became an Independent Contractor. He is survived by two sons, Walker (Mandy) Overstreet and Raymond (Caroline) Overstreet of Asheville, NC; a sister, Brenda Rukab of Ocean N.J., a brother, Robert A.(Pam) Roberson of Rentz, GA; and 5 grandchildren, Dustin, Talmadge, Welton, Lawson and Forrest; many nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind friends that will never forget him; his best friend, Sammy (Gayle) Mccorkle; his God sent long time friend, Shirley (Terry) Griffin that made his last days so comfortable; and his Freddy Friday Night friends. He will be sorely missed by so many that he had a profound affect on with his friendship and great sense of humor. There will be no funeral as Freddy donated his body to science.
Susan F Stinchcomb
Susan Farr Stinchcomb, age 66, of the Greshamville Community, died on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at her residence. Born in Thomson, GA on October 19, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Milton and Margaret Smith Farr. Susan graduated from Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School and attended Piedmont College. She married Edwin "Eddie" Stinchcomb III on May 26, 1979. She worked as a secretary for Pennington Seed in Madison, GA and later for Stewart Finance Company in Union Point, GA. She was a member of Fork Chapel United Methodist Church. Susan was a great seamstress and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who enjoyed being with her family. In addition to her husband, Eddie Stinchcomb of the Greshamville Community, she is survived by two sons, Edwin Gary Stinchcomb and wife Megan of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and Major William Jacob Stinchcomb of the United States Air Force and wife Nicole of Dayton, OH; sister, Peggy Rehberg and husband Charles of Thomasville, GA; grandson, Wyatt Stinchcomb; other relatives and many friends. Memorial Services were held at Fork Chapel United Methodist Church, Farmington Road, Madison, GA 30650 Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Tony Gavalas officiating. The family received friends Saturday at Fork Chapel United Methodist Church from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Inurnment followed in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, 1400 Farmington Road, Madison, GA 30650.
