An Augusta woman was one of four people who broke in a Thomson man’s home and assaulted him.
The Thomson Police Department arrested Vantoria McNair, 29, on May 30 for a March 15 assault and burglary of a home in the 100 block of Canary Street.
According to Thomson Police Chief John Seay, a 31- year-old Canary Street man reported that McNair and three unknown black men broke into his apartment, began to fight him, broke a flat screen television, turned over furniture and hit him over the head with a chair.
“So far, McNair is the only person charged,” Seay said. She was charged with aggravated assault and burglary.
McNair, of the 2000 block of Carp Road in Augusta, was released from the McDuffie County Jail June 4 after posting a $15,000 bond.
