The Glascock County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged a Thomson man and Gibson woman with five counts of cruelty to children. Both were arrested and have now been released on bond.
The investigation began in late December and both were arrested Jan. 21. The Department of Family and Children Services contacted the Glascock County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 27 and requested assistance at a home in the 3500 block of Eley Road in gibson. DFACS alleged child abuse and domestic violence occurred in front of five children. The sheriff’s office investigated and late last week arrested Jose Granados III, 29, of Thomson, and Courtney Davis, 28, of Gibson.
Granados was charged with five counts of battery, family violence, and 5 counts of cruelty to children 1st degree.
Davis was arrested and charged with five counts cruelty to children 3rd degree. Granados was released on a $37,500 bond and Davis was released on a $12,500 bond.
