Tri-County REA was excited to participate in the celebration of Black History Month with the Warren County schools.
Warren County’s administrators, teachers, staff, and students were busy throughout the month of February celebrating Black History found in literature, cinema, art, music, leadership and movement. There was participation in wearing of African American attire, Black History T-shirts and jerseys. Positive affirmations were posted throughout the schools to support the theme for the month, “Lift Every Voice.”
Tri-County REA took part in the judging of classroom doors that were decorated with various themes pertaining to Black History. Tri-County REA also had a soul food lunch with teachers and students. The finale of the celebration was an awesome Black History program in which Tri-County REA also attended.
Tri-County REA would like to recognize administrators, teachers, staff, and students of Warren County schools for a phenomenal job in recognizing past and present contributions and accomplishments of historical and local African Americans.
