The Thomson Police Department recently made two arrests in cases that stem back to October 2022 incidents.
James Emmett Adair, 48, of Arnall Street in Thomson was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery in relation to a domestic incident on Oct. 5, 2022, in which he reportedly broke the wrist of Amanda Dunaway Adair, his ex-wife. Adair also faces a charge of theft by taking, auto, after he allegedly stole his ex-wife's car on Oct. 21, 2022.
Thomson police have also arrested Billy Grays, 66, of Anderson Avenue in Thomson, and charged him with aggravated assault, burglary and second-degree damage to property. The arrest was delayed after Grays was hospitalized following the Oct. 23, 2022, incident in which he reportedly accosted his former girlfriend, Sandra Kay Mullins, 58, and her new boyfriend, Marcus Kendrick, 61. During a physical altercation between the two men, Grays was stabbed in the abdomen by a screwdriver that he had in his pocket.
