The McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Thomson woman in connection with the shooting of a Thomson man in the face early Oct. 4.

Sheriff’s department officials are seeking Jaquella Hill, 27, of the 100 block of Cherokee St., in Thomson, as person of interest in the shooting of Keontavious Deontra Brown, 20, of the 100 block of Cherokee Street.

According to Sheriff’s Office Major Ronnie Williamson, at 1:18 a.m., Friday, the sheriff’s office was called to University Hospital McDuffie about a man there with a gunshot wound. He said deputies arrived to find Brown with a gunshot wound to his face.

“Information developed during this investigation leads us to believe the shooting resulted from a domestic incident, which occurred in the 100 block of Cherokee Street,” Williamson said. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is assisting the sheriff’s office in the shooting investigation.

Williamson said Hill, who is Brown’s girlfriend, is a person of interest in the investigation and she frequents the areas of Cherokee and Walnut streets in Thomson.
