A Thomson man was arrested on multiple charges Sunday after he apparently was chasing a woman’s car through through Thomson.
Demarcus Lakeith Hill, of an address in the 200 block of Cobb Street, was charged with terroristic threats and acts, possession of a firearm during commission or attempt to commit certain felonies, marijuana - purchase, possession, manufacture, distribution, or sale (felony), possession of controlled substance, possession and use of drug related objects.
At press time Tuesday, Hill was still being held in the McDuffie County Jail on a $21,550 bond.
“He was involved in a domestic and basically was chasing the girl through town,” said Sgt. Robert Brown, an investigator with the Thomson Police Department.
Brown said a police officer saw both the woman and Hill run a red light, in separate vehicles, but lost them. A sheriff’s deputy then stopped the car.
The drugs were found in the car, as well as an AR-15 according to Brown.
