McDuffie County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a shooting in the 200 block of Viola Avery Street before 8:30 a.m., Sept. 13, to find a man with a gunshot wound, said Sheriff’s Office Major Ronnie Williamson. The man was later identified as Christopher Collins of Macon.
The investigation is ongoing, Williamson said Investigators with the sheriff’s office spent the morning processing the scene and gathering evidence from a SUV in the yard of the home at Viola Avery Street.
