Thursday afternoon, from 4 to 6 p.m., seniors and parents were able to pick up caps and gowns at Thomson High School.
Pick up is also scheduled for Friday, May 8 from noon to 2 p.m.
As cars arrived Thursday, THS Principal Trevor Roberson stopped each vehicle to determine where the car would be routed next. Based on the student’s counselor, each driver was directed to one of three specific pick up tables along the back of the school.
Each table was staffed by a counselor and someone who would snap a photo of the student, or whoever picked up the cap and gown. This was done basically as a way of making a record of who picked up the cap and gown in case there is any later discrepancy.
No one was allowed to get out of his or her car and no walk-ups were accepted. The same conditions will apply to the Friday pick up.
If parents or guardians come to pick up a cap and gown, they must have either the student’s ID card, or know the student’s ID number.
