The Marena Group LLC, a Georgia-based medical device manufacturer, announced that they will be supplying Georgia election and poll officers with 35,000 masks for protection against COVID-19. The washable and reusable Marena masks will be used for the upcoming primary election which will be open for three weeks of early voting and started May 18. They will also be used on election day June 9 — a date which has already been delayed twice due to coronavirus concerns.
“We are doing everything in our power to ensure voters, poll workers and election officials stay safe while participating in this election during a pandemic,” said Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. “I am proud to get these critical masks from a Georgia company.”
For those who choose to vote in person, Georgia election and poll officers will be equipped with non-surgical PPE masks produced by Marena based on an FDA Emergency Use Authorization. These masks also contain a Silvadur™ antibacterial protection, approved by the FDA, to guard the user’s face, nose and mouth from their environment.
Marena masks are reusable, durable, and machine-washable up to 50 times without losing effectiveness, even at high temperatures. They are made with skin-friendly TriFlex™ fabric with 3D stretch for optimal comfort.
