At press time Tuesday, the latest report from the Georgia Department of Public Health said there are 201 confirmed cases of COVID-19 from McDuffie County,  eight associated deaths, and 38 hospitalizations.

Statewide, on Tuesday, there were 145,575 confirmed cases, 3,176 deaths, 15,047 hospitalizations, and 2,829 ICU admissions.

The Tuesday numbers for Warren County indicated 44 confirmed cases, no related deaths, and 16 hospitalizations.

The number of confirmed cases in other nearby counties are Richmond (2,305); Columbia (1,234), Jefferson (295), Wilkes (144), Lincoln (88), and Glascock (17).

According to the department of public health, those statistics on confirmed cases are based on “patient county of residence when known.”

 There have now been 63 COVID-19 deaths in Richmond County, 14 in Columbia County, five in Jefferson County, three in Wilkes County, and two in Lincoln County.

 According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, through Tuesday, 1,273,781 individuals in Georgia have been tested for COVID-19 and 10.4 percent of those tested positive.
