Helen H. Johnson, 96, Salem Road, entered into rest Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at her residence.
Funeral Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, in the Curtis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Butch Baston officiating. Burial was in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Glascock County to Hugh A. and Martha N. Newsome. She was a member of Thomson First United Methodist Church. She graduated from Glascock County Schools, graduated from Augusta University with a BS degree in Business Administration. She also earned a Certified Professional Secretary Certificate from the National Secretaries Association. She was a licensed insurance agent. She retired from Georgia Farm Bureau as Agency Manager for Glascock, Hancock, and Warren Counties. After retirement, she owned and operated Tri County Insurance Agency, in Warrenton until her retirement in February 2017.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Everette Humphrey and Hugh D. Humphrey; nephew, Allen Humphrey; and niece, Stephanie H. McCord.
Survivors include her son, Daniel Clark Johnson Jr., Thomson; her granddaughter, Danielle Johnson, Augusta; four sisters, Hildred H. Newsome, Thomson, Dahlia H. Calton, Pine Mountain, Ga., Joanne H. Harris, Thomson, and Faye H. Montgomery Wood, Thomson; nephews, Duanne Humphrey, Dearing, Rodney Calton, Pine Mountain; nieces, Kathy Humphrey, Augusta, Debra Harris, Thomson, Donna Quick, Waynesboro; and a number of great nieces and nephews; special caregivers, Beverly Dunn, Cheryl Hill, Venitta Hill and Denise Norman.
Pallbearers will be  Art Harris, Bobby Harris, Chris Humphrey, Jeff Quick, Sidney Smith and Kenneth Norris.
Friends may call at the Curtis Funeral Home. The family received friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Lawrence Hubert Hunt
Lawrence Hubert Hunt, 70, of Ann Drive entered into rest Jan. 8, 2018, at his residence.
Hunt was a native of McDuffie County, Georgia, and the son of the late George Lawrence Hunt and the late Myrtice Louise Hill Hunt. He was retired as a meat cutter from Winn Dixie and IGA.
Hunt enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and served as a Boy Scout Leader in Dearing for many years. He also served as PTO President of Dearing Elementary, Dearing Voters Precinct and was a member of the Lions Club. Hunt was a member of Silver Run Baptist Church.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 49 years, Dianne Hunt; sons, Jeff Hunt (Charlene), Chris Hunt (Crystal); sister, Linda Hunt Ragland; grandchildren, Ethan Hunt, Evan Hunt, Macie Hunt, Garrison Hunt, Caleb Hunt and Malloree Berry and great grandchild, Elizabeth June Hunt.
A Celebration of Life was held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018 at Silver Run Baptist Church with the Rev. Roland Gallaoway and Ray Washington officiating.
The family received friends Wednesday evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Dale Nash
Dale Howard Nash, 56, entered into rest Jan. 2, 2018.
Nash was born in Miami, Florida, the son of the late Leonard Nash and the late Virginia New. He was a carpenter employed by Randy Johnson. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Johnny and Wayne Nash.
Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Fulmer Nash; son, Jeffrey Mark Poston Jr.; brothers, Michael Nash and Randy Nash; sisters, Judy, Ginn, Pam, Sloan, Vicky Erskine and Traci Howard; and many nieces and nephews.
There is no service scheduled at this time.

Lettie Mae Bradshaw
Lettie Mae Bradshaw, 96, of 4453 Boyd Bradshaw Road, Dearing, Georgia passed away on Friday, Jan. 5, 2018, at the University Hospital-McDuffie in Thomson, Georgia.
Visitation will be held Jan. 12 from 1-7 p.m. at Thomson Funeral System as well as Jan. 13 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Funeral services will be held Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Aldred C.M.E. Church with the Rev. Horace A. Head and the Rev. George Glenn officiating. Internment will follow at the church’s cemetery.

Willie Eugene Lee
Willie Eugene Lee, 85, of 3670 Adams Chapel Road, Dearing, Georgia, passed at his residence on Jan. 4, 2018. Friends and family may call at the residence or at the funeral home.
Visitation was held at Thomson Funeral System from noon to 7 p.m. on Jan. 11 and from 10-11 a.m. at New Holt Baptist Church in Harlem.
Funeral services will be held Jan. 12 at 11 a.m. at New Holt Baptist Church with the Rev. Milton Smith officiating. Internment will follow at South Harlem Memorial Gardens.

Lillian Norman Harris
Lillian Norman Harris, 107, of Decatur, Georgia, died peacefully on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 7, 2018. The family received friends at James Funeral Home on Jan. 10, 2018. A graveside service with the Rev. Chad Watkins officiating followed at Wrens Memorial Cemetery.
Lillian was born on March 14, 1910, in Lincolnton, one of six children born to the late William Ellington and Frances Anne Glaze Norman. She grew up in Lincolnton, graduating from Lincolnton High School. She received her teaching credentials from State Teacher’s College in Athens in 1929, and began her 35-year teaching career in Wrens, where she met and married George Thomas “Pete” Harris. She later taught at Matthews School and Hephzibah Elementary. In 1962, she received her Bachelors of Education from Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville.
Pete passed away in 1996, and four years later at age 90, she moved to Medlock Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Decatur where she was an inspiration to the other residents, welcoming newcomers and making many friends over the 17 years of her residency.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, G. T. “Pete” Harris. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Harris Rox (husband Frank) and her grandson, Patrick Fitzgerald “Pete” Rox, all of Decatur; plus a number of nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Wrens Methodist Church, 202 Russell Street, Wrens, GA 30833 or to the John Franklin Wren Chapter NSDAR, c/o Beth Usry, 107 Quaker Road, Wrens, GA 30833.
Visitation was held Jan. 10 from 10-11 a.m. at James Funeral Home in Wrens.

Freddie Prickett Jr.
Freddie “Fred” Dennis Prickett Jr., 48, of East Warrenton Road, entered into rest Jan. 4, 2018, at his residence.
Prickett was a native of Jefferson County, Georgia, and the son of Freddie Dennis Prickett Sr. and Teresa Ann Stevenson Rowlen (Marshall). He lived in Jefferson County for many years before moving to Warrenton.
Prickett worked as a Heating and Air Technician and Installer. He was a Methodist by faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing and thrift store shopping.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his beloved wife, Erica Lynn Browning-Prickett; sons, Justin Prickett, Jesse Ray Prickett, Gaige Prickett; daughter, Erica Prickett; step-children, Jacob Browning, Jordan Browning, Kasyddie Browning and Kendra Browning; brother, Chris Rowland; sisters, Ann Meek, Marsha Butler, and Jennifer Sturkey; and grandchildren, Ayanna Prickett and Madison Prickett.
The family will have a Celebration of Life and Gathering at a later date.
