Shamari Jones grabs a rebound for THS.
The Thomson Lady Bulldogs split the first two region games of the year last week.
On Friday night, Thomson rode to Milledgeville to face the Baldwin Bravettes, but suffered its first region loss 55-39.
Things turned up on Saturday night, as the Hephzibah Lady Rebels visited and THS won, sending them home with a 58-18 loss.
“Most of the game (against Baldwin) went well,” said Zakeya Goldsberry, who has been guiding the Lady Dogs while head coach Christian Wilder has been on maternity leave.
“We struggled to score in the third quarter, despite a good fourth quarter run, we fell short.”
Against Hephzibah, Thomson jumped out early and led 17-5 at the end of the first period.
