New mission to provide local community members with free Thanksgiving meal on Thanksgiving Day

Kathy Bouttry-Webb is the founder of LPHO (Love, Peace & Happiness Outreach), an organization created in 2016 to serve the community by providing a dinner on both Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
The belief that every family should enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner and that everyone needs embracing and support during the holiday season galvanized a local mission organization to serve a free Thanksgiving meal at the Thomson Depot on Nov. 23.
LPHO (Love, Peace & Happiness Outreach), a nonprofit charity founded in 2016, will serve meals on Thanksgiving from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“Our organization truly understands hardship and the difficulty people face during the holiday. We strongly believe that every family should enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner,” said Kathy Bouttry-Webb, LPHO founder. “We’re inviting anyone unable to provide a meal or share the holiday with family and friends to a free Thanksgiving meal. Our goal is to spread the love of Jesus Christ over dinner,” she said.
Bouttry-Webb said the organization’s 10 members, comprised of family, friends and her colleagues, want to give thanks by giving back.
“God loves us unconditionally and there are many ways to show God’s love by being a blessing to others every Thanksgiving,” she said.
Meal delivery and transportation to the Depot will be available upon request, she said. Call 706-452-5113 to arrange pickup or delivery.
It is the organization’s desire to show Christ’s love through actions, Bouttry-Webb said. “We want to show love and happiness to children, to people without family, to people who’ve lost a loved one and people who are lonely. We know that we cannot replace anyone, but we can show God working through us to him or her.”
LPHO seeks to serve meals and provide clothing to the homeless and under-privileged in communities throughout the year. The group will recruit volunteers for special occasions to help meet the need and make a difference. It will especially embrace people with love and comfort at Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
