1967 State Champion Bulldogs to be celebrated
By Jim Wallace

Friday night, a 50th anniversary celebration will honor the THS 1967 Class A State Football Championship team.
The event at Luther Welsh Field at The Brickyard celebrates the teams first state championship, when Paul Leroy was head coach.
All players, coaches, managers, cheerleaders, scouts, and player representatives from the team are encouraged to come and participate.
The 1967 group will meet and greet and then join in with the Bulldogs on the Dog Walk at 5:30 p.m., as they enter the stadium.
Later, a tailgate supper in the Big Dog Parking Lot will take place and the team will be recognized on the field at close to 6:50 p.m., for their contribution to THS football history with proclamations from the city and county.
Participants should arrive at the tennis courts next to the stadium at 4:30 p.m.
Rob Ridings, Thomson head football coach, said he has talked to the team about the importance of history.
I spoke to our players Monday about what a tremendous honor it was to have them with us, the coach said.
Its important, because too many times we forget about tradition and about those who come before us and the groundwork and the things they have left.
