Thomson Bulldogs stomp Clarkston
By Jim Wallace

Thomson’s Christian Tutt puts a move on a Clarkston tackler.
The Thomson Bulldogs scored a huge homecoming victory Friday night, overwhelming the Clarkston Angoras 69-0.
Any concerns about how the Thomson Bulldogs would respond to not having played a game in three weeks were quickly dashed Friday night as the Dogs led 49-0 at the end of the first quarter and 62-0 at halftime, which improved Thomson to 4-0 on the season.
“We had three TD passes, three TD runs, a kickoff return for a TD, a punt return for a touchdown, so all three phases of our game contributed to our victory,” said Thomson head coach Rob Ridings.
Christian Tutt turned on the fireworks as he returned the opening kickoff for a 96-yard touchdown.
Clarkston took the kickoff and after one play, THS’ Jalek Nicholson picked up a fumble and returned it 17 yards for a score.
On Thomson’s next possession, Mills Ridings found an open Tutt for a 40-yard score. Later in the game, Ridings threw a 25-yard TD pass to Tyrese Jones and a 20-yard scoring throw to Jacorey Crawford.
In other scores, Bubba Murray scored from four yards out, Tyrek Braswell scored on a 28-yard run, Tyrese Jones scored after returning a punt 67 yards and Bubba Murray scored on a one-yard run.
At halftime, the Bulldogs put in the JV for the rest of the night, and Thomson scored their final points when Lavar Beard hit Kenneth Neloms for an eight-yard score.
