The family of Robert Norman Wilson Jr. will hold a Spreading of the Ashes Ceremony on Thursday, October 5th, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. This ceremony will take place at the family cemetery located at Marmee’s, their family homeplace, 1392 Augusta  Road, Thomson, Georgia. The Reverend Ronny Brannon will officiate. The family requests that guests wear comfortable pants or jeans and shoes since the ceremony will take place in the family farm field.
Bob passed away on Aug. 25, 2017, and a Celebration of Life was held at the First United Methodist Church on Aug. 28, 2017.
Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd., Thomson, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.

Carolyn Keene
Carolyn Barbee Keene, 75, of Scuffle Rd. entered into rest Sept. 29, 2017.
Mrs. Keene was born in Cordele, GA to the late George Elzie Barbee and the late Dorothy Wright Barbee. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Arabi. Mrs. Keene lived in Thomson, GA for many years and was retired as an office and credit manager with Lowe’s.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 30 years, Milton Keene; daughters, Runae Keene Watson and Jennifer Rebecca Jones both of Harlem, GA and sister, Bonnie Peavy of Columbus, GA and 5 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, Oct. 2, 2017 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home with Chaplain Ellis Moore officiating. Interment followed in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends from 1 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home prior to the service.

Margurite "Bait" Lockhart
Margurite Lockhart, 48, of Dearing, GA was born to her loving parents, Azzie Lee Blair Lockhart and James E. Lockhart, Sr. on Wednesday, April 2, 1969, in Louisville, GA. She was educated in the public schools of Jefferson County, GA. “Bait” as she was affectionately known by many, joined the former Faith Interdenominational Church of Wrens, GA at an early age where she was a faithful member.
Margurite Lockhart is preceded in death by her parents, Azzie and James Lockhart Sr.
Those she leaves to cherish her wonderful memory are: one daughter, Marquilla Mechelle Lockhart of Wrens, GA; one son, Marcus Bernard Lockhart (Minquinta S. Ivey) of Hephzibah, GA; one granddaughter, Ty’Lia Jackson of Hephzibah, GA; a beloved friend, Sammie Byrd of Thomson, GA; the father of her children, Michael Beasley of Wrens, GA; three sisters, Sarah J. Aldred, Linda J. Lockhart of Thomson, GA and Penny L. (William) Brown of Dearing, GA; two brothers, James E. Lockhart, Jr. of Wrens, GA and Jerry King of York, PA; six aunts, Emma Thomas of Augusta, GA, Virginia Lockhart, Carrie Bell Jordan, Isabelle King, all of Wrens, GA, Mattie Tremble and Ann Lockhart, both of Stapleton, GA; one uncle, Jimmy Lee Blair of Wrens, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Sept. 30 at Thomson Funeral System and them Smith Grove Baptist Church in Wrens. Funeral services were held on Sept. 30 with the Rev. Albert Robinson Jr. and the Rev. Chavas Boyd officiating.
Thomson Funeral System is in charge of the arrangements.
