William Lawrence “Larry” Griffith, 39, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2017 from injuries sustained in an accident.
Mr. Griffith was born in Augusta, GA the son of Kathy Rodgers Drew. He was a graduate of Thomson High School and Greenville Technical College. He was a Member of Marshall Baptist Church and attended Johnsonville United Methodist Church and New Hope Church.
He was a member of Ducks Unlimited, Lucky 13 Hunting Club and Indiantown Duck Club. He was an avid outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing with his family and teaching his boys about the outdoors.
Surviving are his beloved wife Kimberly Cantey Griffith; sons William Wyatt Griffith and William Chandler Griffith; mother Kathy R. Drew; parents-in-law Gene and Pam Cantey; brother-in-law Jayson (Chelsea Marsh) Cantey; sister-in-law Jayme C. (Jordan) Ward; nieces Aubrie Marsh and Scarlet Ward; nephew Corbin Ward; aunts Becky (Bobby) Mauck, Sue (Richard) Lepard, and Laurie (Mike) McCullough; Granny LaRita Gaster and special friend Ricky (Sharon) Powell.
Larry was predeceased by a brother, G. Neil Drew; maternal grandparents, Lawrence and Rosanne Rodgers; paternal grandparents, LeRoy and Irene Griffith; his Pop, Phil Davis.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in the Johnsonville United Methodist Church. Burial, directed by Morris Funeral Home, followed in the Garden of Devotion Cemetery, 800 S. Georgetown Hwy, Johnsonville, SC 29555.
The family received friends from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 15, 2017 in the Johnsonville United Methodist Church, 240 N. Georgetown Hwy, Johnsonville, SC 29555.
