Artists showcase talent at Art on Main
By Linda Green

Artists, crafters and artisans from Warren County and surrounding communities took over Main Street in Warrenton Saturday, Sept. 9, to showcase their wares and to engage in a people’s choice competition in the annual Art on Main.
For $1, viewers purchased a ballot to vote on each piece of art and the proceeds went to Hometown Warrenton, Inc. for future public arts projects. The Warrenton Garden Club also put on a flower and art show. In addition, the Reese-Hyman Post 96 of the American Legion conducted an open house of its newly acquired hall, the former electric company building in downtown Warrenton.
At the halfway point of the showcase, Jazz Musician Bill Karp performed several selections.
