Dogs win big against Hephzibah, ARC
By Jim Wallace

Chase Smith cracks a single against Hephzibah.
The Thomson Bulldogs scored two dominating wins in baseball last week
On March 28, Thomson defeated the Richmond Academy Musketeers 11-1 in Augusta. On Friday night, the Bulldogs shut out the Hephzibah Rebels 10-0 in a region game.
The Bulldogs took control early against the Rebels, scoring four runs in the second inning and four more in the fourth in a game that ended on the mercy rule.
Garret McClure was the winning pitcher for the Bulldogs.
The Bulldogs were led in hitting by Cade Brown, who went 3-for-4 with a single, triple, and a homerun. McClure, Mills Ridings, and Dakota Gergen each went 2-for-3. All four knocked in two runs.
"We hit the ball well, and Garrett did a great job on the mound,” said Thomson Head Coach Brad Smith.
“He threw his second no-hitter of the year, striking out eight, and we played well defensively behind him.”
