Mrs. Dorthea S. Oubre, 91, of Augusta, GA entered into rest March 22, 2017.
Mrs. Oubre was born in Berlin, Germany to the late Hans and Gertrude Schwiesow. She lived in Augusta, GA most of her life and was an office manager for many years. Mrs. Oubre was a homemaker and a Baptist by faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Werner Schwiesow who was MIA during World War II; her husband, Otis J. Oubre and a son, Lynn Michael Oubre.
Survivors include her daughter, Ramona Bidlack (Ron); son, Raymond Oubre (Candy) all of Thomson, GA; grandchildren, Donald Braswell, Sabrina Mink, Melissa Pender, Holly Oubre, Haley Oubre and great grandchildren, Amber Mink, David Pender and Matthew Braswell.
Funeral services were held cryptside at 2 o’clock, p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017 at Bellevue Memorial Gardens, Grovetown with Rev. Larron Pilgrim officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.

James Lowe Gunn 
Mr. James "Jamie" Lowe Gunn, 89, of Warrenton, GA entered into rest March 21, 2017.
Mr. Gunn was a lifelong resident of Warren County, GA and the son of the late Jamie Simeon Gunn and the late Blanche Lowe Gunn. He was a 1945 graduate of Warrenton High School and attended the University of Georgia. Mr. Gunn was a third generation farmer and lived and worked on the same property of his parents and grandparents. He was a member of Johnson United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Gunn was predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Mildred Phelps Gunn and sister, Martha Jane Gunn Wilhoit.
Survivors include his daughter, Jimmie Gunn Stewart and husband, Jimmy; sons, James J. Gunn and wife, Debbie and John E. Gunn all of Warrenton, GA; grandchildren, Teresa Gunn Foster, Gunn Stewart, Leigh Gunn Jones, and Kelbie Gunn; great grandchildren, Nicole Beggs, Austin Jones, and A. G. Foster, Gunner Stewart and Jacey Stewart; and great great grandson, Bennett Beggs.
Funeral services were held at 4 o’clock p.m., Friday, March 24, 2017 at Johnson United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Richards officiating. Interment followed in Johnson Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Tripp Wilhoit, Gunn Stewart, Gunner Stewart, Austin Jones, Chase Beggs and Chad Foster. Honorary pallbearers were: Jimmy Stewart, Bobby Langford and Bennett Beggs.
The family receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Thursday at the Gunn Residence, 1493 Macon Hwy., Warrenton, GA.
