Gergen signs pact with West Georgia Wolves

Dakota Gergen signed with the University of West Georgia while family and THS staff and coaches looked on.
A Thomson Bulldog senior signed on the dotted line to continue his goals in education and athletics at the next level.
Dakota Gergen, THS kicker, committed to play football for the University of West Georgia Wolves. The Wolves compete in the nine-member Division II Gulf South Conference.
During a ceremony at the athletic complex that included players and members of Gergenís family, THS head football coach Rob Ridings praised Gergen for his accomplishments. Paul Leroy, former Thomson coach and kicker coach, spoke of Gergenís accomplishments.
ďHe [Gergen] is by far one of the best, if not the best, kicker that Iíve coached,Ē said Leroy, also thanking Steve Elliot, special teams coach, for help in the kickerís development.
