Grab N Go employees as well as Chamber board members, ambassadors and community members are shown at the Feb. 22 ribbon cutting.
Grab N Go Snack Shop officially opened its second location in Thomson on Feb. 22.
The restaurant, owned by engaged couple Marlon Rhodes and Tifphany Howard, have an established restaurant of the same name in Warrenton, which was opened in October 2013. The Warrenton restaurant is located on Atlanta Highway, across from Warren County High School.
Grab N Go held a ribbon cutting on Feb. 22 to officially join the Thomson-McDuffie County Chamber of Commerce.
“We are so glad that they decided to branch out over here,” said Debbie Jones, executive director of the Thomson-McDuffie Chamber of Commerce.
The Thomson location opened in October 2016, and it is located at 220 West Hill Street.
“I want to say thank you for coming out and supporting us,” Rhodes said. “It’s always been a dream of mine. I appreciate everybody for everything.”
Rhodes said the restaurant serves salads, hamburgers, several types of sandwiches, several types of dinners and wings.
“We have wings, wings and more wings,” Rhodes said. “We have the best wings in town.”
Seven people work at the Thomson location to help bring the wings and other food to customers, and Rhodes and Howard divide their time between the two locations to keep them both running smoothly.
The Thomson location is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Grab N Go is dine in or take out, and the restaurant can be contacted at (706)445-7108.
