Warren C. Brown
Warren C. Brown, USMC, Ret., 86, of Beaufort, died Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at National Health Care of Bluffton.
The family received friends Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016 from 5-7 PM at Anderson Funeral Home with a prayer service.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at 1 PM at Beaufort National Cemetery with Marine Corps Honors.
Warren was born Oct. 3, 1930, Ardmore, PA, son of Clifford and Helen Krepps Brown.
He served his country with honor during the Korean and Vietnam Wars as a 1st Sgt., Drill Sgt. and later an Air Traffic Controller retiring from the US Marine Corps after 25 years of dedicated service.
His is survived by his wife Carol Parham Brown and children; Layne (Marianne) Brown, Wayne (Robyn) Parham, Lindsay Brown and Lauren Hawley and grandchildren Sarah and William Hawley and David Parham (Lauren).

Tyisha LaTay Davis, 23, of Spruce Street, Thomson, passed on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016. Friends and family may call at the residence of her grandmother, Elizabeth Lowe, 1635 Washington Road, Thomson or Thomson Funeral System, Thomson.
Tyisha LaTay Davis, the daughter of Carla Lynn Ivey and Tyrone Jermaine Davis was born on Saturday, Aug. 14, 1993, in Augusta, Georgia.
Our beloved Tyisha went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2016. She passed away at her residence in Thomson, Georgia.
Those left behind to cherish her loving memories are: four children, Lamar Moss, Lamariana Moss, Jaheem Moss and Mariah Moss, all of Thomson, GA; mother, Carla Lynn Ivey of Thomson, GA; father, Tyrone Jermaine Davis of Columbus, GA; four sisters, Jacorria King, Calia Ivey, both of Thomson, GA, Londyn Fitzpatrick and K’Hilii Fitzpatrick, both of Columbus, GA; two brothers, Jamal Ivey and Jacorbin Ivey, both of Thomson, GA; two grandmothers, Edith Huff and Elizabeth Lowe, both of Thomson, GA; two grandfathers, Sam West of Appling, GA and Frank Davis of Augusta, GA; a god-mother, Eleanor Hamilton of Thomson, GA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Popular Spring Baptist Church, Appling. Internment followed in Westview Cemetery, Thomson.

Linda Joan Keeton
Linda Joan Keeton, 62, of Thomson entered into rest Dec. 21, 2016.
Ms. Keeton taught at T.W. Josey for many years and was a retired from the Richmond County Board of Education. She was predeceased by her mother, Patricia Davis Love.
Survivors include her father, Rube Keeton of Monroe, NC; sisters, Laura Hutcheson of North Augusta, SC and Brenda Fariss of Thomson, GA; niece, Amanda Hegler (David); great-niece, Lilly Hegler; great-nephew, Greyson Hegler and relatives in Texas.
A private family gathering will be held.
Ms. Keeton lived by The Prayer of Jabez: "And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that Thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that Thine hand might be with me, and that Thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested."

Debbie Evans Magee, sixty one, of Thomson, GA entered into eternal rest on Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016.
Debbie was born January 26, 1955 in McDuffie County, GA to the late William R. Evans Sr. and Agnes McTier Evans.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Bill Evans. Debbie graduated from Stapleton High School in Jefferson County and later served in the U.S. Army. She worked in various clerical positions through the years.
Debbie will be missed by her son, Evan Reaves Magee of Macon, GA; sister, Carolyn Evans Gay (Kenneth) of Macon, GA; brother, William R. Evans, Jr. (Dollie) of Wadley, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, 1:00PM at Washington Heights Baptist Church, Thomson, GA.

Ivery Jr.
Nether "Peanut" Ivery Jr., 56, of Thomson, passed on Sunday, Dec, 18, 2016 at University Hospital McDuffie.
Nether Ivery, Jr. was born to Naomi Ivey Ivery and Nether Ivery, Sr. on Sunday, Feb. 28, 1960 in Thomson, GA.
Peanut as he was affectionately known to family and friends, attended the McDuffie County School System of GA, and graduated with the Thomson High School Class of 1978. Nether, Jr. joined the church family of the Springfield Baptist Church in Thomson, GA. He was a faithful servant, and served on the Deacon Board until his death. He was a member of the U.S. Armed Forces in the 1148th Transportation Unit. As an entrepreneur, he worked in the community as owner of Ivery’s Restaurant, Thomson, GA.
