Crash and smash
By Linda Green

A three-car accident on Washington Road in Thomson sent nine people to area hospitals Friday evening.
According to the Georgia State Patrol Commander Ritchie Howard, at nearly 6:30 p.m., a 2006 Pontiac G6, driven by Josh McKinney, 21 of Holt Street in Thomson, was traveling north on Washington Road and he had stopped to make a left turn onto Telephone Street. While stopped, a 2006 Ford Expedition, driven by Christopher Rabun, 40, of Wrens, hit McKinney’s car in the rear.
According to the Commander, after Rabun struck McKinney’s car, he crossed the centerline and sideswiped a southbound 1998 Honda Accord, driven by Antwon Moss, 24, of Ridge Road in Norwood.
Howard said Moss’ car spun out of control, struck the curve and came to rest on the side of the road.
Ambulances took nine people from the vehicles to hospitals with non-life threatening injuries. Eight were taken to University Hospital McDuffie and one to Georgia Regents University Medical Center.
According to GSP, Rabun has been charged with following to closely.
