New chorus director joins Briarwood staff
By Brian Bowden

Brian Lustig, a 23 year old native of upstate New York, joins Briarwood Academy as the school's new chorus director.
"I'm completely excited about it," said Lustig.
Although Lustig's background is very choir-heavy, this will be his first job in a school setting. "I've always had an inkling for wanting to teach," said Lustig. "The one thing that really attracted me to this job was the interaction between the students and faculty were just so positive. I'm glad to be a part of it."
Before arriving in Warren County, Lustig was finishing up his graduate program at the University of Georgia where he earned a Master of Music in choral conducting. He earned his undergraduate, a Bachelor of Music in performance and voice performance, at a small liberal arts school in western New York called Houghton College. "You'd never find it on a map," said Lustig laughing. "It's about an hour south of Buffalo."
