LeBrun sole finalist for Ware County job
By Brian Bowden

Exactly two weeks after being named one of two finalists for the Peach County superintendent position, current McDuffie County School Superintendent Jim LeBrun was named as the sole finalist for the Ware County superintendent position at a called board meeting in Waycross on June 10. The Ware County Board of Education unanimously approved the executive session decision on naming LeBrun as such finalist.
Following the state-mandated 14 day waiting period, LeBrun will more than likely have his final contract approved by the Ware County BOE at a called meeting on June 24.
That final contract approval will then trigger the McDuffie County BOE to have a called meeting the following day, more than likely, on June 25 so that the board can vote on whether or not to release LeBrun from his contract a year early. If the early release is voted on and passed, he will vacate his position in McDuffie County on July 1.
