Bypass impact
By Linda Green

A car and a semi-truck collided Monday resulting in one driver being ferried away in an ambulance and the other being cited by GSP.
At approximately 3:30 p.m., June 16, a car and a semi came to the Thomson Bypass from opposite directions on Cobbham road.
According to Georgia State Patrol Trooper Ritchie Howard, a Honda, driven by Ebony Sims, 20 of Thomson, was traveling south on Cobbham Road and a Dearborn, Mich.-based Norton Express Truck, driven by Nagi S. Mohamed, approached the intersection to make a left turn onto the bypass to go north.
“They both had the green light,” Howard said.
