• Dogs win close one against Westside Friday night
By Jim Wallace

The Thomson Bulldogs kept their home baseball record perfect with a 5-4 win over Westside Friday night.
It was basically a game of giveaway as the Patriots gifted Thomson with four runs. One run came on a balk and two more came on two walks with bases loaded.
The winning run came on another Westside mistake in the sixth inning, and improved Thomson’s home record to 12-0.
Hunter Bragg was on third base and Caleb Washington was on first when the Westside pitcher threw wild, allowing Bragg to score.
Bragg led Thomson with 2-for-3 from the plate.
