• McDuffie County to host regional leadership forum on May 7
By Linda Green

The economic impact of tourism in the CSRA and the state is the focus of an upcoming regional forum.
The 2014 CSRA Leadership Forum, to be held May 7 at the Belle Meade Country Club, will bring leadership classes from McDuffie, Warren, Burke, Columbia, Aiken, Lincoln and Richmond Counties together to examine how tourism affects economic development.
Approximately 150 people are expected to attend the noon forum that will focus on “Let’s Do Something Together.”
According to Tish Chase, the director of the Thomson-McDuffie Chamber of Commerce, the forum is designed to help those in future leadership positions understand the role tourism plays on the economic impact in Georgia.
