Political forum on April 14
By Linda Green

The political candidate’s forum is Monday, April 14 at 6 p.m. at the Thomson-McDuffie Government Complex.
Participating candidates will be those seeking to be elected to seats on the McDuffie County School Board.
The two candidates running unopposed for the McDuffie County Board of Commissioners will also be given the opportunity to make brief remarks.
The success of previous forums, held prior to local elections, compelled the Thomson Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., The McDuffie Progress and WTHO FM and WTWA AM to plan another local political forum. The forum, to occur in the first floor meeting room at the Government Center, is to provide voters with as much information as possible from each candidate on the ballot, before the May 20 general election.
Each candidate with opposition will be given 3-5 minutes to present his or her platform. After presentations, a question and answer period will be provided. The forum will be a live feed to stations, and available on media websites.
