• Annual ride raises Relay funds
By Wayne Parham

Saturday morning, Lorrie Bales welcomed riders to CRSA Home Health Agency’s fourth annual Relay for Life ride.
The ride raised $1,033 for Relay for Life with the help of 32 riders on 26 motorcycles.
“We’re here for a cause. Everybody has someone they have lost to cancer or someone that’s fighting cancer. That’s why we are here,” said Lorrie Bales, a RN who has worked at CSRA Home Health for more than 20 years. She is also the clinical administrator for the office.
The annual ride began at the company’s office at 415 W. Hill St., in Thomson, shortly after 10 a.m.
From Thomson, the riders traveled to Warrenton and then on to Gibson. Once in Gibson, they took a break at a well-known store then returned to Thomson on the backroads. Some riders, after the official completion of the event, chose to take an additional ride to Washington.
