• Dogs split region games
By Jim Wallace

The Thomson Bulldogs split region games Friday and Saturday.
Friday, the Bulldog scoreboard wasn’t working, but the Bulldogs were as they took a 6-3 win over Swainsboro.
Saturday, the Bulldogs dropped a 4-3 loss at Dodge County, a team they had beaten 12-2 earlier in the season.
The loss snapped an 11-game winning streak and landed the Dogs at 14-4 overall, and 6-1 in region 3-AAA.
Bulldogs bats were active, as the team pounded hits of all varieties.
“We hit the ball and fielded pretty well for not having played in more than a week,” said Aaron Hall, Bulldog head coach. “Had we been in our normal game routine of playing every few days, I think we could have hit and pitched a bit better.”
