Johnny Brooks
Mr. Johnny Brooks, 84, of Thomson, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at Gibson Health & Rehab.
Graveside services were held Friday, March 21, 2014, at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. J.B. Redd officiating.
Mr. Brooks was a native of Jefferson County but had lived in McDuffie County for many years. He was a retired farmer and carpenter, and a member of Sweetwater Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Cason Brooks, Gibson, and Donald (Sandra) Brooks, Thomson; two daughters, Patsy (Bubba) Hunt, Thomson and Brenda (Ronnie) Cranford, Thomson; one sister, Doris Rooks; 9 grandchildren and 11 great- grandchildren.
The family received friends Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the funeral home.

Frankie Wilkerson Benson, 70, of Norwood, entered into rest March 22, 2014. Funeral services were held Tues., March 25, 2014 in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson. William H. Clifton
William Henry Clifton, 83, of Warrenton, died March 18, 2014.Funeral services were held Friday in the chapel of Beggs Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Harlem Memorial Cemetery. Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, GA was in charge of arrangements.

Lawrence J. Elam, Sr.
Lawrence Joe Boy Elam, Sr., 61, of Lincolnton, departed this life on Sat., March 15, 2014. Funeral services were held Sat., March 22, 2014 at Newberry Missionary Baptist Church. The family received friends on Fri., March 21 at the funeral home.

Edwin B. Moore
Edwin Barry Moore, 68, of Norwood, died Mon. March 17, 2014. Graveside funeral services were held Fri., March 21, 2014 at Scruggs Cemetery. Lowe Funeral Home, Warrenton, Georgia, was in charge of arrangements.

Emily S. Neal
Emily Simons Neal, 75, of Thomson, entered into rest March 17, 2014. The family received friends Thurs., March 20, 2014 at the funeral home. Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, GA was in charge of arrangements.

Virginia E. Neal
Virginia Edmunds Neal, 86, of Harlem, passed away on Sun., March 23, 2014. It was Mrs. Neal's request that no service be held. Beggs Funeral Home, Thomson, GA is in charge of arrangements.

Robert E. Perry, Jr.
Robert E. Perry, Jr., of Harlem, entered into rest on Sat., March 15, 2014. Funeral services were held on Thurs., March 20, 2014 at Platt's Belair Road Chapel. Burial followed at Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home on Wed., March 19, 2014. Platt's Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Carrie O. Powell
Carrie Owens Powell, 94, of Harlem, entered into rest on Wed., March 19, 2014. Funeral services were held Sat., March 22, 2014in the Thomas L. King Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Bellevue Memorial Gardens. The family received friends at the funeral home. Thomas L. King Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Robert M. Rainaud, 82, of Lincolnton, entered into rest on Fri., March 21, 2014. Funeral services were held on Wed., March 26, 2014. at Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery with military honors. The family received friends on Tues., March 25, 2014 at the funeral home. Edward E. Readdy, Jr.
Edward E. (Gene) Readdy, Jr., 79, of Harlem entered into rest, on March 4, 2014. A memorial service will be held at the Ascension Lutheran Church in Augusta on Sat., March 29, 2014 at 4:00 PM. Starling Funeral Home, Harlem.

Arlene V. Stover
Mrs. Arlene Vivian Stover, 69, of N. Courtland Drive, Thomson, entered into rest March 23, 2014.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Young Memorial United Methodist Church 1711 Washington Road, Thomson, GA 30824 with Revs. Sue Meehan and Ginny Best officiating.
Mrs. Stover was a native of Grassflat, PA and lived in Evans, GA for 20 years before moving to Thomson, GA 9 years ago. She was a retired Media Specialist from Evans Middle School. Mrs. Stover was a member of Young Memorial United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her beloved husband, Ed Stover; sons, Mark Stover and wife, Leigh Anne; Michael Stover and wife, Shannon; daughter, Martina Lyn Cole and husband, Ed; sister, Dorothy Bean and husband, Bill; grandchildren, Breanna Davis, Savannah Davis and Dawlon Cole.
