Essay winners recognized at DAR meeting

Two students from McDuffie County schools were highlighted at the monthly meeting of the Captain John Wilson Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution. The meeting, held at the Norris Elementary media center on Feb. 5, showcased the winners of the American History Essay Contest. "We have a really special February meeting. We had our students who wrote out essays and we have the winners with us today," said Regent Rose McNeill.
The essay had to focus on the lives of children during the American Revolution.
