A traffic stop on Interstate 20 resulted in a McDuffie County deputy prohibiting a $135,000 street value of marijuana from hitting the streets.
On Feb. 8, Deputy Jared Land stopped a dark-colored 2013 Dodge Charger bearing a Florida tag at the 175 eastbound mile marker at 4:38 a.m.
After a short investigation, the deputy arrested Nora A. Paige, 52, of Lithonia. Inside the car was a large quantity of marijuana.
She was transported to the McDuffie County Law Enforcement Center and charged with marijuana trafficking. She is in the McDuffie County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
