TMMS holds annual spelling bee
By Brian Bowden

Thomson-McDuffie Middle School held its annual spelling bee on Monday in their cafeteria, just a week-and-a-half before the county spelling bee on Feb. 7 at the same location.
The students were broken up into grades as they showcased their spelling prowess and a chance to represent their school on a county level.
Sixth-grade had 12 contestants, with the word "basically" knocking out the first contestant and "divvy" securing first place for Olivia Murray.
