The owner and staff of Aaron Meyers Allstate gathered Friday morning with chamber of commerce officials and community leaders to cut the ribbon on the business’ new location in Thomson.
Meyers purchased the Allstate agency in Thomson from the previous agent, Elaine Taylor. The location will remain the same — 1253 Washington Road. He also operates another Allstate location in North Augusta, S.C.
“Thank you for coming to Thomson and investing in Thomson,” said Mayor Kenneth Usry. “We wish y’all the best.”
“On behalf of the chamber, I just want to welcome you and we want to wish you much success,” said Ken Williams, chairman of the Thomson-McDuffie Chamber of Commerce board. “We feel like we can help you in networking to get your name out there and we’ve got other ways that we can help you. We’re always there to be with you and help you out. Just give us a call.”
Kathryn Fuller, operations manager for Aaron Meyers Allstate, said the participation by chamber leaders, chamber ambassadors, other business leaders and the mayor was impressive.
