Rainy weather caused havoc around the CSRA last week.
On Friday, accidents during heavy rains kept emergency personnel in the area busy.
Friday morning, about 9:30 a.m., a single vehicle accident sent a North Augusta, S.C. woman to Georgia Regents University Medical Center with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
Georgia State Patrol SFC Ritchie Howard said in his report that 20-year-old Andrea M. Swift was traveling west on Interstate 20 just west of the Exit 172.
Her Ford Focus left the roadway and struck a tree. Howard said his investigation revealed that the vehicle hydroplaned, causing Swift to lose control. Swift was not cited in the accident.
