• Lady Bucs continue win streak on the road
By Brian Bowden

The Briarwood varsity girls basketball team has won 7 of 8 on the road this season including their last four straight. Tuesday night was no different.
The Lady Bucs (10-1) secured a victory against the Cavaliers of Augusta Prep., 56-47, and extended their win streak to eight games. This was the same team they beat in the Edmund Burke Holiday Classic in December. However, the matchup was a lot closer than the 40-point blowout they had the first go around. “It got a little closer than I imagined it getting,” said Head Coach Keith Johnson. “I wouldn’t say we struggled. I would say in the fourth quarter we put the subs in and they had their starters in.”
This was the Lady Bucs’ smallest margin of victory in a season where they have mostly dominated their opponents up to this point. “The score was deceiving, we didn’t play bad,” said Johnson.
