“I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service, and my health to better living, for my club, my community, my country and my world” will again be uttered by McDuffie County school children who participate in 4H.
The club meeting portion of the 4H program has been in transition since October when the coordinator left the position and the county extension office sought a replacement.
The McDuffie County Extension Office has placed Mia Mance into the position of 4H Program Assistant and one of her responsibilities is to operate 4-H club meetings for fifth grades through high school. She will conduct club meetings at all of the schools, except for Maxwell Elementary and Thomson Elementary.
With her guidance, students will learn to make the best better and learn by doing, which is the 4H motto and slogan.
